It has been a long time not coming here to leave some words.

May 26, 2010

I delivered my commencement speech in the Englihs Dept. Meeting.

I spent almost two months to compose it and it is a poem.

The memories flooded into my mind when I was asigned for this job.

I just couldn't express all I wanted to say into 3 minutes.

Therefore, I decided to make it into a poem.

Sadness, Worries and Laziness

Shadows underneath the starry nights.

Late comes Happiness after the bell tolls

O time leaks between fingers as sand in a hand, this

Liberal journey ends un-noticed.

One, two, three, four,

Ushers in the commencement.

Climbing lines on the pages mountain high,

Moaning over stern faces that haunt us day and night—sigh,

Drooping before computer screens in the dark,

Hiding and seeking where Muses are,

One     two     three     four

Ushers in the commencement.

Hats fly high into the blue sky,

The wind flaps the gown in a joyful moment—smile.

Triumph from the initiation,

Winged heroes ready for the next

Soar--One, two, three, four,

Ushers in the commencement.
